Jeremiah 17:7 - Trust in the Lord

Jeremiah 17:7 - But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. A friend of mine has a job interview today. They spent all this time preparing, picking out the right outfit, going over notes and all that. In their mind, preparing to best of their ability gives them confidence. There is nothing wrong with preparing to do your best, but the source of our confidence should not be in our own actions. As Christians, our confidence is in and through the Lord. We are confident in all things because He will never leave us or forsake us. We are confident because we know that God can handle all that we give Him. We are confident because we know that no matter what happens, in Him we have the hope for better days. We are confident because we have salvation and an eternity with the maker. We trust in the Lord. When you do so you will see that trust is never misplaced. We can put trust in man or in deeds and actions but the will never be as unfailing as God will be. Put your trust in God and then go into the world with the ultimate confidence. He will never let you down!
