Why do we go to church?

I use to never go to church on Sunday. I could give a million reasons as to why I did not have to go or why I shouldn't go. It was always "I have had a busy week" or "I have a big week ahead of me" or "I never get to sleep in". But all I was doing was making excuses and allowing the devil to talk me out of what I knew I should be doing. Instead of focusing on why I should not go to church, I should have been looking at why I should be going. We go because the church is one body. We go because we want to hear God's word. We go because we want to worship our God together and sing His praises. Most important though is that we go to support and encourage one another. The church is an extension of your family. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Church is the one place that you can always go to share your burdens and your joys. If you do not have a church home, please find one. If you have one and have not been attending or have not been active, get active. Doing nothing just lets the devil win and keeps you from the rest of your family. Its up to you to decide.
