John 5:24 - Cross over from death to life

John 5:24 - I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. How comforting is it to know that through the sacrifice of Jesus, that we have a way to defeat death? Through our faith in Jesus we are saved. More than that but we are dead to sin and we are alive in faith and in Christ. Once we accept Him into our lives we are a new creation. The old one is gone. Will we still sin, yes, we have a sinful nature. The thing is that now we know we have a way out that is promised to always be there for us as long as we are willing to humble ourselves and ask to be forgiven. Read His words and let them sink into your heart. Know His love and let it fill your heart. Believe in Him and have eternal life. Cross over from death and into life. The door is always open. All you have to do is be willing to believe.
