2 Samuel 7:22 - How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears. What a great passage! This reminds us that we serve a great God. I am amazed that folks can hear the word, see His works, live in His world and still not see it. When you are exposed to the word and the Holy Spirit you have to respond. You can hear it and invite Him into your life or you can ignore Him. Either way you have to respond. Knowing this, why would you willingly choose to do anything else other than follow God? There is no one or no thing like our God. You can never find a suitable replacement for Him. There is not a generic Walmart brand God that you can turn to for the same salvation. We can not worship an idol and receive grace. We can not pray to a tree and expect it to hear us. And we can not put our faith into something else and expect to go to heaven. There is only the one true God and He is sovereign over all. We owe everything to Him. He is worthy of all our praise. He is a great God! How lucky are we that He loves us enough to call us His own?
