Belief

Belief can be a fickle thing can’t it? We can believe we are in love one day and the next, not so much. We can believe that we have everything under control, then the next day feel like we are in control of nothing. We can believe all kinds of things during our lives but how often are we willing to stake our lives on those beliefs? I believe sweet tea is the greatest drink ever made but I am not dumb enough to stake my life to that fact. There is only one belief we can have that we can risk all on and that’s the belief in God. How do we know that we can believe in God though? Simple, the bible tells us so. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”. He has already conquered death on our behalf. When we believe in Him and lay our sins out on the table and ask for forgiveness, we are saved. Death is not the end for us anymore, our spirit lives on with God for eternity! I can believe in a lot of things, but only one has the power to save me. What do you believe in? Have you put your faith in the one true God or have you put your faith in something else? It’s never too late. God is always there, ready to come into your lives and change you. Stop believing that you are in control and that you can do it on your own because you can’t. Believe in God and let Him take control of your life today.
