Matthew 9:37 -Help wanted, harvest workers needed

Matthew 9:37 - Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few”. I am sitting here at work and I am thinking to myself “man, I have a lot to do today”. It seems that I can work 24/7 and still have stuff left for me to do. The problem is that we have more work than we have people to do the work. So much for the summer of recovery I guess as was promised by our politicians. Now apply that to a farm. A farmer goes out and plants his crop, waits all year, and then when it comes time to harvest, no one is there to bring the crop in. Not an effective way to do things. That crop could wilt on the vine and go to waste. No one would ever be able to receive that goodness or get any use of the crop. Jesus saw this as well. We are the harvest that He mentioned. He knows that in order to bring the world the good news that workers are needed to go out and get the harvest. It is up to us to go and share the news to the world. We are the helpers that He was referring to. Knowing this then, what are you doing to bring the harvest in? You do not have to have the fancy training or be a great speaker, you just have to have a willing heart. God can use you even if you can’t see how He ever could. We all have talents that He can utilize, but if you do not give Him the chance to use them, then you are letting them going to waste. Do your part, give yourself to God for His use and let Him do great things with you. The harvest is out there, waiting. He will give you all you need to bring it in. You just have to be willing to put in the time.
