Galatians 6:3-5 - Test your own actions

Galatians 6:3-5 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load. one of my favorite passages of scripture. really puts us on the spot as far as i am concerned. we all get caught up in the competition that is life. "can you believe so and so got this? i deserved that" or "i know i work 3 times as hard as ...they do" or "i am not sure why they get all the attention, i did all the work"....stuff like that that we all do or think daily in some fashion. but we are reminded here not to worry about what someone else does or how they do it. we are charged to put our own lives, our own actions, our own accomplishments under a microscope instead of looking at others. we need to be able to stand on our own, pull our own weight and take pride in being able to live our lives according to His will.
